A Walk in the Apple Park
Apple Park in Cupertino, California is perhaps the grandest thing Apple has ever released.
Apple Park is the current headquarters of Apple Inc. With a circumference of 1.46km and accommodating more than 12,000 employees across seven stories (four above ground, three below grade), its grand and iconic design are emblematically Apple. Designed by the Architecture firm Foster & Partners, Apple Park is larger than the Pentagon, longer end-to-end than the Empire State Building, and estimated to cost more than 5 billion dollars to realize. In the centre of the ringed structure is a 30-acre park featuring the iconic Apple Stage & a host of flora & fauna native to the drought-prone Cupertino area.
It’s also been shown off in many of Apple’s recent events; its iconic design and Apple-esque fit and finish are the perfect backdrop to the products Apple has announced over the past two years.
This wallpaper is all about celebrating this stunning campus. It was designed by taking the shape of Apple Park and breaking the campus into six concentric circles in the iconic six colours. On top of that pattern was overlaid a blueprint of Apple Park. Finally, a customized minimalistic map serves as the backdrop.
