Starfield
I've been having a lot of fun making a few minimal gradient wallpapers over the past several months - from my CleanMyMac wallpapers to Titanium I & Titanium II to my Aurora & Autumn gradient collections. Two new wallpapers join that collection today: Starfield I & Starfield II.
I can't tell you how they're made, not that I don't want to, but just an old family recipe; I arrived at these more by the feel of it than by the technique of it. By playfully experimenting with various gradients, blurs, and other effects, I arrived at two designs whose palettes and patterns released more dopamine in my brain than the others. They were very pleasing to the eye, and I didn't tire of looking at them after several days, so they made the cut to be shared with the world.
The inspiration behind these designs is that I wanted something that resembled a supernova, the ionized particles exploding out into space & emitting a brilliant pattern of light & radiation. And for a backdrop, I added a starfield to add texture across the rest of the display.
Starfield I & II are available for your Mac, iPad, and iPhone. Starfield I is the original creation with a beautiful rainbow gradient, while Starfield II features a more subtle design but a beautiful warm to vibrant blue palette. Enjoy.
